About Us
Finding Inspiration with every step on country
At As One Nyitting, we are dedicated to preserving ancient knowledge of bush food and botanicals. Our goal is to create a deeper connection with our country and share a future where young people can take pride in caring for the land. Our team has a passion for the environment and we strive to make a difference in our community. We believe that by working together, we can create a better future for all.

Our Story
As One Nyitting limited founded in 2015 to enable First Nation children to connect to Ancient Noongar Culture through practical educational Cultural Programs to strengthen their sense of Pride, Respect, Self Determination, Resilience, Leadership, Honour, Self Esteem. AONL connected with many families with many stories, life challenges and experiences.
AONL understands community connecting to Culture is the Solution. The First Nation people have been and continue to live and practise Ancient ways for around 3000 generations, we need to understand, it’s important to connect First Nation children, to the Land through our Cultural Customs, Protocols, knowledge.
Since the beginning, Cultural Knowledge Sharing has been instrumental across many systems of society. We have lived and have professional experience with: Department of Justice, Department of Child Protection, WA Heritage Council, Human Rights of Indigenous Peoples. Taking on the highest profile and greatest social challenge within Banksia Hill Detention Centre became AONL‘s first priority to keep young people home safe with family and on country. Working intensively with 24 youth detained in Banksia Hill Detention Centre, and 400 youth, through Community Based Orders, AONL delivered exceptional results for each individual.
From 2018, AONL had strengthened its priority to connect youth to country sooner. In the work undertaken to date AONL has a very strategic and pointed direction to enable Culture to be recognised in a way everyone can understand, where knowledge sharing within heritage and Indigenous rights can be respected and recognised to better inform decision making. Our Stories and Culture of yesterday, become stories of tomorrow for our future generation to understand the truth of Culturally significant and sacred Landmarks as we all Care for Country.
As a First Nations social enterprise with a very strong foundation, we take our lead from our Elders and work for the benefit of our community; creating, innovating, adapting, and delivering Cultural programs and products to meet the needs of our people. Our core business includes 1) Knowledge Sharing, 2) Noongar Bush Food and 3) Caring for Country. Our Culture demands that we work in a holistic way under the guidance of our Elders and ancient law.
